Very nice lens, terribly high price

This lens may be a excellent match for the LX5 and expands the widest finish of the zoom vary from 24mm equiv. to 18mm equiv. with minimal barrel distortion and chromatic abberation at the intense edges. There are only a few wide angle conversion lenses that cowl the 24mm field of read while not vignetting or fuzzy focus at the perimeters. This one is nearly freed from those defects. I compared it with variety of 52mm mount conversion lenses I had available and this topped all. The lenses that did the most effective were for video cams that had giant lenses, in order that they failed to vignette. however those solely centered at the wide finish of the zoom vary and had higher distortion.
It should be mounted on a lens adapter tube that attaches to the lens, once removing the splined ring on the front of the lens.
